I like to write a story
I ask no thanks or glory
The words that come from this pen of mine
Are loving, happy memories of a different time
Many thanks to each; even not knowing,
Who provided a word or story, some help in showing
Their precious tales of years gone by, I'll not forget
But will pass them on with love and little regret
